Today, family members and friends said goodbye to one of my nieces. She was only 26 years-old, but had accomplished a lot in a very short time. This niece loved children and all she talked about was becoming a teacher, and that is exactly what she did. She graduated at twenty-two and taught for four years before suddenly passing away. As sad as that is, I’m glad that she lived the last four years experiencing the passion that had driven her since she was a child. Prior her teaching experience, she spent an additional four years preparing, working and walking towards her desire.
I wonder how many of us would say that we are walking in or toward our destiny. I wonder how many of us are truly living out that passion, that fire that burns deep inside. You need to know exactly what you are passionate about or you cannot walk nor work toward it. I’m not talking about your hobbies like stamp collecting, fishing, knitting, or things you like doing, etc. I’m referring to that activity or path you would rather be doing than anything else in the world.
You might be creative, artsy-crafty, innovative, athletic, entrepreneurial, possess a desire to serve others, care for others; whatever it is, don’t let fear stop you from achieving your goal. Start today and start working toward it. Here’s what you can do for starters:
Remember no matter what you write down, the number one stealer of dreams is distraction and time. Therefore, I urge you to do the following:
As always,
Be blessed,
