Some of our female models out for a stroll on the pier. It’s hard to believe that a week has gone by since we were in Clermont, Florida shooting Bugs on Toast. It was an awesome day. We gathered around 7:30 for the morning shoot in front of Lilly’s on the Lake on W Osceola St. First it was checking wardrobe and shooting the models for the front cover and back cover. After that we shot some scenes for some of the interior pages and broke around lunch and then regrouped for the afternoon shoot at 4:30.
We had to think and act fast for the afternoon shoot, About 3pm one of the parents had decided to arrive early and unfortunately there was a bike event and the roads to our shoot location were blocked off. We ended up going to Palatkahala Park a few blocks away and somehow, we all made it to the new location on time. It ended up being great. I thank God that the kids all had fun, so much fun that they would run off in between shots to play. Telling them to stay close was like telling a bird not to fly. It was a wrap around 6:15.
Thanks to Anette for her extreme grace and patience working with the children and for her efforts in coordinating and brainstorming storyboard for the book. To see her work, be sure to visit Photos by Anette.
I must take this time to express immense gratitude to all the parents who gave up such a beautiful, gorgeous day to hang out with us, and a special thanks to all the parents who did both the morning and afternoon shoot. Thank you so much for allowing your kids to be part of our project and for helping make this day special. Special thanks to Tonika for jumping in and coordinating wardrobe for us. We can’t wait to show you the finished product. In the meantime, stay tuned–we’ll keep you abreast and provide sneak previews of the front cover and back cover soon.
