AS IRON SHARPENS IRON, SO ONE PERSON SHARPENS ANOTHER. PROVERBS 27:17

I’m neither an avid juicer nor a vegetarian.  Not that they are bad things.  Being an avid juicer or a vegetarian is a good thing. I love and enjoy food.  Food suits all the moods I wear.  Yet, I’m not ignorant of the benefits of eating right.  I know that eating bad has its consequences and in order to give my body a fighting chance, I need to feed it minerals and nutrients and build up my immune system.  A strong, intact immune system leads to a well body, a sharp mind and all the energy we need to go about our daily tasks.

I’m a Kale-a-holic.  I love everything kale.  My favorite healthy drink is a green lemonade concoction of kale, lettuce, lemon, cucumber, celery, ginger and anything green I can find to throw in the juicer.  Yum! Yum!  


This is how I empower my body most mornings to stay strong throughout the day and night.

What you need:
1.  6-8ozs of a green drink (I use less sometimes if I’m going for a real thick smoothie) 
2.  1/2 of a medium cucumber
3.  1 avocado
4.  2 or 3 cubes of ice (optional)
5.  A Nutribullet or any blender.
Tip:  If you don’t have time to do a juice, you can use scoops of green powder mixed with apple juice or the Veggie Kale Blazer from Naked or your favorite brand.

The above ingredients make for a 16oz green smoothie.  I take mine straight but if you so desire, you can add a teaspoon or two of raw sugar or real maple syrup, grade A or B.  I can have the entire 16 oz for breakfast or split it up for a snack during my work day or before bedtime treat.
