This Season of Thanks

I thank God for His goodness and His mercy toward us.

During this season of Thanksgiving, I wish a pleasant, safe, and enjoyable day to all my family and friends.  I pray for peace around the world and an end to world hunger.  As we gratefully feast on the bounty God has provided, let us pause and remember those who go hungry (neighbors, children, the unemployed, the homeless) in this land that flows with milk and honey.  I pray that God grants us a willing heart to share with others, that which He has so bountifully blessed us with.

Let us be thankful not only for our immediate family members and close friends, but also for those who go sometime unnoticed but are an integral part in allowing us to enjoy this day and life as we know it.  To my son, Joel, who, because of his love for our country finds him serving on foreign soil this Thanksgiving, and to our men and women at home, and those defending our country away from their families, thank you for your service.  To the doctors, nurses and all medical professionals who are on duty, thank you.  To our police and firemen who risk their lives to save others, thank you.  Last but not least, to all those who show love to all who are part of the family of mankind, thank you.
